Orthopedic
Recovering from joint replacement or spine surgery, or bone fixation as a result of a fracture creates challenges for the patient. Kolob Regional is sensitive to the patient’s needs and provides the compassionate care and clinical competence to excel in regaining or improving motion after surgery
Cardiac Care
Recovering from a cardiac condition is an intense process that requires patience, compassion and persistence. To ensure an individual’s wellness goals are met, and that the patient can return to leading an active lifestyle, a patient may need additional rehabilitation services after a hospital stay. The Program’s main focus is to assist patients in regaining their independence and getting back to living life to the fullest.
Wound Care
Wound Certified nurses and physical therapists combine their efforts to assess and determine the appropriate treatment for wounds created from a variety of sources, including pressure, diabetic, venous stasis, and surgical interventions. The wound care team also partners with the Registered Dietitian to address the nutritional needs in order to promote wound healing and prevention of further wound development and to maximize the healing process.
Dementia Care
We offer specialized programs, featuring cognitive, social and therapeutic activities, which are designed to increase socialization and decrease agitation of residents with Alzheimer’s disease or dementia. Family members enjoy peace of mind knowing their loved one is residing in a home-like, comfortable environment that is safe and secure.
Palliative, Comfort and Hospice Care
Palliative, comfort and hospice are offered to those individuals who are approaching end of life. Our aim in all of these services is to enable residents nearing the end of life to remain in a familiar home-like environment and to maintain their dignity while receiving compassionate care that promotes physical comfort and pain management.
Restorative Nursing Program
Once the patient’s rehab potential has been achieved, the patient will transition to a restorative nursing program which complements the continuity of continued rehabilitation provided by trained nursing staff. This is to maximize the potential to not retrogress to maintain the maximum level of independence and functional mobility.
Services :
The personnel who work in the Social Services office are advocates for the resident. The Social Services staff facilitate communication between the residents, their family members and the Kolob Regional community employees. Resident rights and family responsibilities complement the services of Kolob Regional throughout the facility and among the staff. The staff in Social Services oversee psychosocial issues, helps the resident adjust to their living environment, addresses interpersonal relationship issues, and facilitates contact with family and friends.
